what type of arthritis is this usually associated with, and can you have symptoms of arthritis in other areas, and if so, what are the most common?

I’m female, and 13 years old. Ive been experiencing pain in both my knee joints for about 2 years now (tried physio, acupuncture etc.)is when it’s gotten unbearable. I play hockey and I’m a goalie and I’m worried it’s making it worse, I also had an x-ray about a week ago (awaiting results) and blood work tomorrow, I also have a pink colored rash around my knees consistently, is it me, or does it have something to do with disease?

If my dog weighs 70 lbs and the drug comes as 100 mg tablets how many tablets should my dog get? (1 lb=453.5 g)

My father broke his ankle in 3 places last fall and had to have screws to repair it. It will still bother him if hes on it for long periods of time. Hes almost 60 and I think hes got arthritis in it now. He is a carpenter by trade and has to be on his feet everyday. Does anyone know if infered heat will help him get some relief? Or any other suggestions? He does take meds for his heart and for cholesterol too. So yes, hes already on asprin.

It is a low dose,7.5mg a week, but when Y enter internet and see the second effects Y dont begin the treatment. Are you having this drug for arthritis? please tell me your experience.Thank you…

For a few months, it will be your legs then go away and then awhile later it will be in your shoulders, so and so forth all over and disappear for long periods.

I am in good shape and good health, but in my family arthritis and the likes are genetically present. As the years pass I feel more and more soreness and pain, mostly in my fingers, but lately my shoulder started to hurt. I am not taking any specific medicine and try to work out 5 times a week, some leight weight lifting and also some cardio. I am not overweight and try to eat reasonably.
A friend of mine suggested taking Glucosamine tablets to help reduce pain and prevent further problems.
Any suggestions? Personal experience?
Thxs a lot in advance.

I was born with hip displaysia and just found this out. The wear and tear on my left hip for my life has caused me to wear out my cartilage and now have arthritis. I have hip pain on most days. I am very active, workout 5 days a week, bike ride, etc. I am 37 andhaven’t heard of too many people my age having hip replacement. I will definetely need it at some point, now or later is up to me.

She has seen the vet and was given a cox 2 inhibitor that has resulted in stomach ulceration and gastrointestinal bleeding. She is now recovering from the stomach trouble, but can hardly get around due to arthritic pain. Do vets ever use tylenol type products on dogs? I’d imagine that would be harmful to a lab’s liver. Suggestions? I would hate to have her in pain and hate more to euthanize her.

I read in an article that ginger is good for easing arthritis like symptoms. is this true?

Doctor says its degenerative disk desease or degenerative arthritis.

My mother has been suffering from pains all over her body. The pains are very intense. Yesterday she had a low grade fever verging on the boundary of a real fever. Can arthritis cause light fever?

I suffer from cluster headaches & arthritis in my hip so Im getting desperate

I am breast feeding, I’m not sure about having osteoarthritis, but it runs in the family, and I started to have pain in my hands, so I wonder if that illness can affect brast milk.

I was diagnosed as having seronegative reactive arthritis last July. The initial flare caused me to be bedridden for three months and a spell in hospital. My specialist told me that most patients are recovered within 3-6 months. It caused swelling in most of my joints and a lot of pain. Along with a whole bucket full of other symptoms, mouth ulcers, conjunctivitis along with a nasty rash.Initially I had my knee’s drained and was given steroid injections into some of my joints. I am currently taking Paracetamol & dihydracodiene for the pain, doesn’t help much. Lansrapole, celexocib, methotrexate and folic acid, I have been taking these for nearly 10 months now and dont seem to be improving much. I still have swollen fingers, wrists, knees, ankles, I have terrible back, shoulder, elbow, ankle, knee pain, it has also left me with three deformed fingers. Just these last few weeks it has presented itself in the right side of my face and is very painful to try and eat, its usually just soup these days., My specialist says all he can do is to see how i am in 4 months time and go from there. I am in constant pain, sometimes I can’t even manage to get out of bed. Has anyone else had this and recovered from it. Im only 37 with four active kids who have had to help me dress, bathe etc. For the last ten months it has taken over thier lives aswell. I’ve had to leave my job and this disease has completely threw my world into turmoil. Is there any hope, does anyone know of any home remedies I could try that may help. The only thing I have found makes me feel ‘normal’ again is when I go into hospital and they give me steroids on an I V, my Dr won’t let me continue with this as its harmul to my liver/kidneys. Any words of advice would be gratefully recieved.

My daughter is 3 and started complaining about her legs hurting 3 months ago, now she can’t walk for more than 5 mins without her legs giving out. We have to take her in a stroller everywhere. We have been waiting to see the speacilist in 3 months but she seems to be getting worse fast, we give her massages, hot baths, and now she is on heavy pain killers, is there anyone else out there who has been through this that can give me advice on other things to try or do? Or what else this might be?

im 12 years old and im 5 foot 8 inches EXACTLY!!!im a swimmer an we have to run every day before practice. my knees hurt when i run AND they hurt when i swim. it feels like there are bunch of needles are poking in my knee. do i have arthritis?

I do heavy squats about 3 days a week and sometimes I can’t tell if the joint is in pain or the muscles surrounding them are. Does anyone know anything I can do to help me figure it out?

I’m experiencing some pain in the right hip and down the right side of my leg. (I believe sciatica pain is at the back of the leg, right?) It’s strange because I only experience this pain at night - for the most part. After I’ve been asleep for at least several hours, if I end up on my back or in the same position for awhile, that seems to cause the pain to flare. Sometimes it’s quite sharp until I start to move….once I get up and going it virtually disappears.
On occasion I am aware of a dull ache in that same area during the day, but that isn’t the norm. I haven’t been able to tie these flare-ups to anything like rainy weather or something that might affect arthritis or bursitis.

I would appreciate any feedack from the friends at Yahoo Answers. If this sounds like something you’ve experienced or you have a clue about what this could be, then please let me know. Thank you.
