I’ve had it for years, but this winter is the worst. I dislike prescription drugs, because they cause other problems for me; I already have Chronic fatigue, so anything that makes other people mildly drowsy puts me right out. I have a life to live and work to do, so I can’t be asleep all the time.

Anything homeopathic you can recommend that helps lessen the pain? Tylenol Arthritis only works part of the time.

I had 1 beer only due to many medications on I am on for Rheumatoid Arthritis (prednisone, methotrexate, Humira, Arava)… needless to say, I was stopped with a Blood Alcohol Level of .08, which is DWI in NY. Is it possible that any of my medications may have caused my Alcohol level to rise? Thanks for your help in advance.

I want to know an easy way to grow hydro. Don’t say anything like don’t do drugs this is for my medical arthritis because i don’t want to waste money buying my prescription over and over again and my doctor says i can.

Beat arthritis pain with GINGER? Who needs drugs? It’s true. In clinical studies, ordinary ginger relieved pain and swelling for a whopping 75% of arthritis
patients.http://www.bottomlinesecrets.com/search/search_results.cfm

I am on medication, one is considered a chemotherapy drug for Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have asked both my doctors, family and Rheumatologist and they have no idea. No such side effects are listed. It was predominantly on my left side but now the curls are also on my right side.

I have a severe case of rheumatoid arthritis. My knees, ankles, hands and other joints swell up with fluid a lot. I have had my knees drained of fluid around 25 to 30 times. I feel like I’m running out of options. I’ve had arthroscopic knee surgery and it didn’t help. I’m in a lot of pain all the time even when I don’t have visual signs of swelling.
I am on a strong pain killer and also take Plaquenil. I am just afraid of more problems occuring if I take the drug azathioprine. Please help!

She is only 4 years old and petite for her age. Concerned about her losing her appetite and other reactions long term…is there anyone who has a relative who was helped by this drug?

I am 28 yrs old and I can’t take the pain. My doctor wants to do a bone scan tomorrow and will probably start me one some rheumatic drugs. I am already taking the max on celebrx. I am always crying and cant seem to concentrate. I am also extremely fatique. I can seem to find someone to talk too. My best friend is busy with her 4 kids and my boyfriend is busy at work. I just called him and he could not take 5 minutes out of his busy schedule to take to me as i break down and cry.
I do not know what to do. I want the pain to go away. Please
help. I have always been a very upbeat person always smiling….now i can remember the last time i smiled and laughed.
Want to thank everyone for your support and help. Its truely comforting to know I am not alone.

in treating rheumatoid arthritis, doctors sometimes prescribe antimalarial drugs to reduce pain. my teacher told me that while taking these antimalarial drugs, patients will develop malaria later on as well due to the meds and NOT by mosquito bites. is this true? pls help!

It seems to me that everyday there is a new drug which comes out hailed as having great potential yet when you check around there seem to be few diseases which have been cured by any drugs. The headache is still around. High cholesterol still exists. People still have heart attacks. Cancer is as bad as ever. People still lose their hair as they get older. Gout and arthritis are still around. Epilepsy is still here. Alzheimers etc etc.

I’ll go even further than drugs. look into treatments in general. Teeth whitening doesn’t work that well. Skin creams haven’t helped the people I know. Smokers still have a hard time quitting. Fat people try everything to lose but they have yet to find a solution as far as I know.

And thousands of billions of dollars have been poured into solving all these problems. In the end the consumers would have been better off spending their money on something better.

Any thoughts on this reality?

I just started the drug and need to know if there is anyone who can give me some insight on the drug. Do the benefits outweigh the risks? Is the liver damage a potential risk worth not taking the drug for?

Doctor suggests Alieve 5 pills/day, seems like too much.
Suggestions welcome….

The arthritis is in the back and knee of a young man with degenerative disc disease. He also has ulcers in his stomach so this is something to take into account. We are interested in both over the counter and prescription drugs. Thanks.

Please suggest anything besides drugs or medicine that is natural and beneficial for arthritis. Thanks

For osteo-arthritis. Need another answer to drugs which cause stomach problems and side effects.

I’ve experienced pain and numbness in my hands for about three years now. I saw a hand surgeon a year ago, he told me that I don’t have carpal tunnel, and I’m too young to have any sort of arthritis (I am 22).

Over the last year, I’ve began experiencing joint pain during sleep and any time I remain inactive for a few hours at a time. I wake up every night to severe shoulder, ankle, hip, knee, elbow, jaw, and hand pain; I’m also very stiff and achy for the first few hours I’m awake.

I’ve lost most of my faith in the medical community. Every time I’ve really tried to get an accurate diagnosis, I’m told I’m too young to have this or that wrong with me or I’m written off as a "drug seeker".

Does this sound like arthritis or something else? What type of help should I seek? Has anyone else experienced these symptoms?

My boyfriend, when he was younger and in the developmental phase, was put on Cytoxan (a chemo drug) for arthritis. I was reading a little about the drug and found that it could cause sterility. Is this common? He’s very nervous about it, even though he’s getting checked out by his doctor and possibly by a specialist, just in case. We’re very serious about each other and we’ve been talking about marriage and we both want children. Of course I will marry him no matter what. I just wanted to hear about any firsthand experiences with that medication. Thanks!
