I am a 44 years old, very athletic who’s been exercising my whole life, I do not eat red meat, just chicken, fish, nuts, fruits and lots of vegetables, don’t drink soda at all, I drink red wine and I’m diagnosed with ARTHRITIS. I wonder if weather conditions and living in cities like New York can have a significant impact.
Is it the environment, air, water and stress that have something to do with it besides genetic and inheritance.

I have a 12 year old Golden Retriever in overall excellent health. He’s spent most of his life outside because he was just too "wired" to spend much time in the house. However he has calmed down with age and now he’s my constant companion. I move, he moves. I sit, he sits. I take him for walks and he does have play time with a Lab down the road. He overdid the play date thing with the Lab a month or so ago and he slept like a log for the next day. I can’t say he is in any pain but he does get up slowly and seems to "scoot" his way up with his front paws, almost like he can’t get traction with his pads. I see no evidence of walking oddly, limping, etc, only a little creakiness in rising. I’d like to give him a daily supplement of glucosamine or similar for his joints and comfort but there are far too many to choose from. I’m not necessarily looking for specific brand recommendations but some general advice on what to look for or some to avoid will be greatly appreciated!

my mom has a lot of pain everyday from arthritis in her hands and legs. What is a good medicine, she has tried celebrex, napersin and pain meds. Nothing seems to help and they upset her stomach. Is there anything you can reccomend so she feels a little better? thanks for helping !!
