I understand it may never go away..but I’m wondering what it is like to live with it.
I’m nineteen and I just realized that I probably have it.
I researched it briefly, but I would like someone on here who has it tell me how it affected their life.
I was thinking about doing martial arts, playing piano, and playing more video games.
My fingers and left leg has been hurting.
Is it detrimental to my health if I don’t take treatment? It seems costly and we’re not exactly privileged..
oh yeah, can I see a clinic doctor about it?

Is there any doctor of Rheumatologists in Las Vegas that accept cash payments for people who have no insurance?
I was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis when I was 11. I had it on and off until I was 19. I am now 25 and have not had it since I was 19. I was reading that arthritis never really is cured, but goes into remission. Can anyone tell me what the likelihood of it coming back is? And also if there is a chance it will come back, will it be when I’m old, or could it be any time?
I have JIA and im currently on diclofenac sodium ( arthrotec ) and paracetamol . as you can probably tell i have been diagnosed little over a month, i have been on these for 3 weeks and they r supposed to start working any time now. i wondered what other people had and if they worked ??
Hi.
I have had juvenile arthritis for 4-5 years now.At the beginning I wasn’t able to do any kind of sport, but now,as my condition is getting better due to medication,I start thinking more and more about training some kind of sport. As I really can’t run fast or long anymore, soccer is not an option, but what about martial arts?Is it safe to train a martial art when dealing with this form arthritis.I know what I’m capable of,so I don’t even think about martial art competitions and so on - just training for fitness.
I know I must ask me doctor too,but I’m visiting him in a week or two,so why not ask you?
P.S. Maybe I’ve made some grammar mistakes,but my English isn’t perfect,sorry.
My son has had pains in his knees/feet since he could walk and he is now 5, almost 6. On many occassions it has been so bad that he can not even walk. The doctors refused to do any testing for Arthritis and blow it off as growing pains. Am I just an overly concerned parent, or do you think there is a possibility it could be arthrits? Also it seems to be irritated by the cold.
are there any side effects?
Are there any special foods? natural ways? thanks for the help.
My 20 month old little girl appears to have this (we get the final diagnosis in about a month). She started limping with a swollen right knee, morning stiffness, swollen foot and ankle. Any info. would be helpful…thanks.

İntraarticular triamsinolone is the right choice for the treatment of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis?
my son is 5 years old and has been having pains in his right leg since he was i say about 1 or 2 years old. i’ve taken him to the doctor but never got a reason as to why this happens. when i first noticed, he was limping, then he would walk correctly later or the next day. nowadays he wakes up in the middle of the night complaining of pain in his leg, he also complains during the day sometime. has anyone else experienced this with their child? ever got a diagnosis? someone mentioned that my son may have juvenile arthritis. any help or advice would be appreciated. i live in chicago, if anyone knows of a good doctor for this problem i would appreciate the doc’s name and area.
well the thing is, i’ve been to several docs…they’ve ran tests and see nothing. i am thinking he needs to see some type of specialist.
i thank you all for your input! great advice!
I am 16 and my doctor told me i have JRA but before that the problem that lead to me being diagnosed wtih JRA was Metatarsus Adductus or a curvation of the metatarsal bones. So my question is can arthritis cause my bones in my feet to curve?
For the past couple months, I’ve experienced increasingly painful days. My knees swell up after exercise, and it hurts to walk up and down stairs even if I hadn’t yet ran around. My wrists, elbows, and shoulders occasionally become warmish feeling, and range from irritating to holding-painful. My big toe is actually one of the worse joints affected- it hurts to move it sometimes, but it hurts to just sit around with it, too.
I’m fourteen, and I have a friend that has Juvenile Arthritis.
Is there a chance that I have it, or am I just paranoid?
My dog is a papered Blue Heeler who will be two in February. I saved him from an abusive owner when he was 6 months old.
He is very active; plays ball for hours, goes swimming, jumps for frisbee 5 ft. in the air.
In the mornings he’s stiff in the shoulders/front feet. I’ve noticed when he doesn’t get exercise it is worse. I don’t think most people would notice this but I do because I have horses and I notice early signs of lameness.
I think he might have juvenile arthritis. He is too young to have bad joints so this could be genetics or youth injury related. His bones could have been severely damaged because he was abused physically until he was put into a kennel at 4 months old. I don’t think he got proper nutrition at puppy growth age. He is now fed a no chemical all natural bi-product free diet.
He is not suffering and will be going to the vet on monday. I want ideas to bring up to my vet. What do you think could be causing this?
I can’t contact the breeder to ask about genetic defects. He was in an abusive drug house situation. I do not have the papers.
im 14 and ive done many sports in my life, like dance, gymnastics, baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer and lacrosse and during the last year i have been have lots of joint pain, mostly in my ankles and in my wrists, but lately its been in my finger joints. it is very painful, it hurts the most after playing a soccer game but it hurts almost every night, sometimes to the point where i am in tears and am unable to bear it. do you think this sounds like juvenile arthritis? if not what might it be? also do you think the fact that i used to have scoliosis might be a reason for my joint pain?
