My grandparents are 74 and 84 years old and reside in Puerto Rico. Problem is they live alone and have nobody to care for them. My grandfather has altzeimers and diabetes and is getting lost and loosing his money constantly. Grandmother has heart condition and can’t walk due to a degenerative arthritis. They don’t have any one to help them with basics like cooking, cleaning and going to the Dr. or leisure activity. Grandmother is willing to move with me but grandfather is scared of moving someplace new. They have been robbed several times because neighbors know they are alone and vulnerable. Is there any way I can legally become like their "guardian" and try and get them to move even beyond my grandfather’s will if Dr. confirms his illness? There aren’t many options for elders in Puerto Rico. Unless you are at your deathbed. Any suggestions?
I am presently using a single cane.
I have been athletic all my life. Yet have never injured this knee. After X-rays and mri’s my doctor tells me it is arthritis. He gave me ULTRAM but it doesnt seam to help. I have really bad arthritis and I have to take steroids. I try and starve myself, and eat around 400 calories a day, but I’m getting really fat from the drugs. My doctor told me that it was normal, and it will go away when I’m off the meds, but I have to be on them for awhile. I am so embarassed of what people must think of me. It’s embarassing to go out, I am a size 14 now, I used to be a 6. I get stared at when I am in public. I don’t know how to deal with this, it’s not like I can wear a sign that says "I have arthritis, I’m on steroids". I want to look young, like I am, and cute. Not bloated, sick and fat. Help.
Being a size 14 may not seem so bad for some of you, but I am only 5 feet tall. I look like an oompah loompah.
i just need some people with experience. i need to make some decisions on medications etc. some of my questions are: waht medicines have worked for you? has anyone used humera or a similar injection medicine? things like that. right now i have currenty decided to stop all meds and indure the pain, but idk if that was a smart thing to do,. so yea. thanks
I have Degenerative Disc Disease, Fibromyalgia, Post Traumatic Stress DIsorder, Panic and Anxiety Disorder, Depression, Arthritis, Fractures and inversion of the spine, as well as migraines.
I’m 22 and just found out I have autoimmune disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis. I also have two small children at home. So, I’m wondering what kinds of things can help me? I’m on medication that my Rheumatologist gives me, but I want to know what kind of daily things I can do to help myself. Diet, exercise, pain relief, etc.
Ok, this is actually about my mom.
She has been experiencing joint pain in her lower arms, and hands for a couple of month. Starting with muscle pain in the area, and now in her feet and toes, arms and hands with severe pain and some swelling.
She went to the ER couple days ago, she was diagnosed with Arthralgia and referred to a Rheumatologist. Her appointment it’s in 2 weeks, but the pain gets worst sometimes. She says on a scale 1 to 10 its like an 8.
She read somewhere that some medications that she takes may be related to the pains, Lipitor and Premarim. So I will like to know if anybody knows anything about that.
Im just really worried and concerned about what it could be.
So any information will be appreciated.
THANK YOU!!!!..=)

I’ve had it for years, but this winter is the worst. I dislike prescription drugs, because they cause other problems for me; I already have Chronic fatigue, so anything that makes other people mildly drowsy puts me right out. I have a life to live and work to do, so I can’t be asleep all the time.
Anything homeopathic you can recommend that helps lessen the pain? Tylenol Arthritis only works part of the time.
I have a 10 yo Chocolate Lab and has experienced serious arthritis for half her life and continues to worsen. Of course I already give her a glucosamine supplement, etc. I’ve tried Rimadyl, and even Mobic, but nothing seems to work long term or consistently. Aren’t there new injection medications out now? Thanks so much.
Need to bring arthritis medication(needs prescription in US)purchased in Mexico across border to US legally
my mom has developed knee problem from osteoarthritis. She is 55 years old. due to the problem, she couldn’t do the gardening she likes doing.

One year ago I was victim of an idiot that decided that red lights are meant for running. Well, his mistake caused me 3 ruptured discs and one bulging disc in my lower back. They are also telling me that I have degenerative disc disease and arthritis has began to settle into the injuries. I now take four 10mg percoset, 900 mg of neurontin, and 8mg of Zanaflex daily (obviously not at once). I have been to 2 Neurosurgeons, one saying I need surgery and the other saying NO because I was not in extreme pain. I saw the first surgeon before the Neurontin did its magic and second one after being numb. My body has built up a tolerance to the percoset and its not taking pain away like it used too not to mention my body CRAVES it. My doctor has not switched the meds even though I have told her that they are not working. Is there something out there I can use that is non habit forming? Has anyone had similar injuries and went thru the surgery. I am only 31 and want my life back. Any advice?
Is there any doctor of Rheumatologists in Las Vegas that accept cash payments for people who have no insurance?
And are you taking medication for these medical problems?
I had 1 beer only due to many medications on I am on for Rheumatoid Arthritis (prednisone, methotrexate, Humira, Arava)… needless to say, I was stopped with a Blood Alcohol Level of .08, which is DWI in NY. Is it possible that any of my medications may have caused my Alcohol level to rise? Thanks for your help in advance.
I’VE BEEN EXPERIENCING JOINT PAIN FOR ABOUT A WEEK NOW. IT’S IN PRETTY MUCH ALL OF MY JOINTS(shoulders, back, fingers, wrists, neck, knees, and hips) I’M ONLY 21. HAVE NO HISTORY OF ARTHRITIS. WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS?
does anyone have experience with this in releiving arthritis pain on a shelty? she isn’t crying from pain but she is moving very slowly with hardness in her hips. she’s 9 years old. reputable and inexpensive place to buy the medication?
Have multiple bulging disks and degenerative arthritis lower back plus bulging disk with bone spur pressing on spinal cord on neck. Constant pain, trouble walking, lifting, everything, ect.
I was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis when I was 11. I had it on and off until I was 19. I am now 25 and have not had it since I was 19. I was reading that arthritis never really is cured, but goes into remission. Can anyone tell me what the likelihood of it coming back is? And also if there is a chance it will come back, will it be when I’m old, or could it be any time?
My husband (age 28) was recently diagnosed with it. I am worried because he is so young and he has been given approx. 8 different medicines. Without the medication he is in alot of pain.
any info you can give will help. Is there other diseases related
