I have recently found out I have chlamydia, which means i have probably had it for 3 years. Over the last year i have noticed clicking in my wrists and sometimes in the ankles - could this be caused by chlamydia ? or just age? and will the pills for chlamydia clear everything up?

(23 - Male)

This is my mri report June 3rd. Just want to know how bad do you think this report is?? Mild, Moderate, Severe?? I’m 38 years old. Have 5 sisters, 5 brothers, and my mom. No one else in the family has arthritis, nor spinal problems.

A Nuerosurgeon is going to give me an epidural injection on July 15th for C6-7. I’ve never had any of these done before. How bad do these hurt??

The doc prescribed Neurontin & Tramadol for pain. The Neurontin is take 1 capsule twice/day and 2 @ bedtime. (300mg).
The Tramadol is take 1 to 2 tablets every 6 hours. (50mg.)
I also have been prescribed Ibuprofen 800mg., use when needed.
I feel the meds do not help for pain, or stiffness (especially in the a.m. when I wake up).

REPORT:

Small herniated disc C5-6, with some mild bulges at C4-5 and C6-7.
Minimal Arthritis.

HNP (L) C5-6 (Herniated Nucleus Pulposus=(“Slipped disc”).
(L) C6 radiculopathy= (“Nerve Root Damage“).
Mild DJD Cervial Spine= (“Degenerative Joint Disease”)

I was given a prescription for Ketoprophen a few years ago and now I think I am having side effects. There were a few taken off the market a few years ago due to heart defects and my insurance wouldn’t pay for one that seemed helpful.
I’m wondering if there is something new I could ask my doctor about?

I have a severe case of rheumatoid arthritis. My knees, ankles, hands and other joints swell up with fluid a lot. I have had my knees drained of fluid around 25 to 30 times. I feel like I’m running out of options. I’ve had arthroscopic knee surgery and it didn’t help. I’m in a lot of pain all the time even when I don’t have visual signs of swelling.
I am on a strong pain killer and also take Plaquenil. I am just afraid of more problems occuring if I take the drug azathioprine. Please help!

I have JIA and im currently on diclofenac sodium ( arthrotec ) and paracetamol . as you can probably tell i have been diagnosed little over a month, i have been on these for 3 weeks and they r supposed to start working any time now. i wondered what other people had and if they worked ??

Does glucosamine work on osteoarthritis in both knees?

400+lbs.; hypertension; degenerative arthritis; heart murmur; ashmatic …I’ve tried many fad diets and none of them work. I really need help from someone who knows how to help me become more healthy. Otherwise, I don’t know what I’ll do.

My doctor has given me a precription for Synvise Injections for arthritis in my knees I went to the pharmacy and my share of the cost ( After insurance ) would be 0.00 and there is no way I can even afford my share of the cost, I know there are programs for people with no insurance I am trying to find a program that would pay the cost of what the insurance doesn’t cover. Can anyone give me any answers?

Hi.
I have had juvenile arthritis for 4-5 years now.At the beginning I wasn’t able to do any kind of sport, but now,as my condition is getting better due to medication,I start thinking more and more about training some kind of sport. As I really can’t run fast or long anymore, soccer is not an option, but what about martial arts?Is it safe to train a martial art when dealing with this form arthritis.I know what I’m capable of,so I don’t even think about martial art competitions and so on - just training for fitness.
I know I must ask me doctor too,but I’m visiting him in a week or two,so why not ask you?

P.S. Maybe I’ve made some grammar mistakes,but my English isn’t perfect,sorry. :)

In the past 3 years I’ve been getting really sore thighs, knees, groin, neck and hands (although the hands thing could easily be attributed to how much time I spend on my computer).
I have also developed this horrible lumpy rash on my elbows and knees. Recently my mum mentioned that a few of my female cousins have this thing called psoriatic arthritis and it sounds like what I have. When I went to the doctor she was really nice but she said there was no test for it so I should just try to keep warm, do loads of exercise and come back when I had an inflamed joint to show her. The thing is, they never seem to get obscenely swollen or inflamed so I have no reason to go back. But it’s really uncomfortable, I find myself having to go walking around the city all evening because sitting still is so sore.
Any tips or advice? Because I am purely self-diagnosed I’m not going to go out and buy any drugs or anything. But I would be keen to try anything else that might help.
Thanks.

She is only 4 years old and petite for her age. Concerned about her losing her appetite and other reactions long term…is there anyone who has a relative who was helped by this drug?

Have a 10, and 14 year old dogs. One has congestive heart failure, and is taking meds. One has some arthritis, and tends to have hip pain, mainly when it rains.

I have been diagnosed with degenerative bone and disc disease. for years I didn’t have any dental problems, even though the dentist told me that I have "soft teeth". For that reason and having braces when i was a teenager, I made it a habit of brushing my teeth several times a day. I will even wake up at night and brush my teeth.
Now, in the past 1 1/2-2 years my teeth will just crumble and eventually some of them have hurt which meant they had to be extracted. The tooth will look healthy. I had a FRONT TOOTH to crumble and fall out WHILE I WAS BRUSHING!
My dentist told me that other than the deteriorating my teeth were healthy. There were no signs of plaque or improper brushing.
I am now 37 years old and I have been diagnosed with the bone and spine disease along with arthritis in my back but does this type of disease affect a persons teeth.
Please serious answers only worth 10 points!

I have tried alot of products that state they have the miracle cure without success. Your opinions will be taken seriously.

This doctor I went to said I should go on 3 kinds of very strong arthritis medications. I told her that I would rather try something natural before jumping to the medications. Then it was almost like she was getting mad and almost yeling at me. I think it’s crazy to jump to all those medications without even giving something else a try first. I’ve read research where other things can be beneficial. Any thoughts?

I am 6 weeks pregnant and having quite a bit of joint pain. It’s in my knees, ankles and fingers. Is this normal this early in pregnancy? I did not have any of these symptoms with my first. It’s a nagging achy kind of pain that started with just my knees and has moved to other joints. UGH…..
Thanks Kaylaxki! So it would cause pain in my knees, ankles and fingers too?

I am 28 yrs old and I can’t take the pain. My doctor wants to do a bone scan tomorrow and will probably start me one some rheumatic drugs. I am already taking the max on celebrx. I am always crying and cant seem to concentrate. I am also extremely fatique. I can seem to find someone to talk too. My best friend is busy with her 4 kids and my boyfriend is busy at work. I just called him and he could not take 5 minutes out of his busy schedule to take to me as i break down and cry.
I do not know what to do. I want the pain to go away. Please
help. I have always been a very upbeat person always smiling….now i can remember the last time i smiled and laughed.
Want to thank everyone for your support and help. Its truely comforting to know I am not alone.

Could it be arthritis? It’s about the size of a small egg and on one knee it’s bigger than on the other knee. When I walk or stand a lot,it gets bigger and my leg feels sort of numb. When I sit and rest it goes down.
An orthapedic doctor told me a couple of years ago it was a cyst.If so what should I do,if anything, about it?
A lady friend who has expierence with older adults and health issues said this cyst could wrap around the nerves and cut off my circulation.
I would like to hear from a nurse/doctor or anyone who knows about this problem.I am 61 yrs old, female.I also have degenerative disk disease, could it be coming from a pinched nerve?
I haven’t been to a doctor for this yet.
Thanks in advance.
Is exercise a good or bad thing? My knees are stiff every morning and before it rains.
Is there anything I can take to relieve the fluid without surgery?

My son has had pains in his knees/feet since he could walk and he is now 5, almost 6. On many occassions it has been so bad that he can not even walk. The doctors refused to do any testing for Arthritis and blow it off as growing pains. Am I just an overly concerned parent, or do you think there is a possibility it could be arthrits? Also it seems to be irritated by the cold.

What can I do to make things easier on my boy? It kills me to see him in pain. He’s not extremely old either. I’d hate to medicate him for years. I neve use medication myself, but if there’s something that won’t hurt my boy (side effects) and eases his pain, I’m OK with it I guess.

in treating rheumatoid arthritis, doctors sometimes prescribe antimalarial drugs to reduce pain. my teacher told me that while taking these antimalarial drugs, patients will develop malaria later on as well due to the meds and NOT by mosquito bites. is this true? pls help!
